January 15, 2002: start dating my future husband
December 23, 2004: get engaged
June 2005: graduate high school, start BCP
July 2, 2005: Marry my best friend!!!
April 20, 2008: Stop taking BCP!! Yay!!
June 2008: Early m/c at around 4 weeks, Our Glory Baby
October 2008: have only had 2 AF in 6 months, see OB/GYN, dx'd PCOS, start Provera and 50mg Clomid CD5-9
November 2008: O'd on Clomid, prog 53.8, BFN
December 2008: forced TAB with BCP for cysts
January 2009: Clomid 100mg CD5-9 with hCG trigger, 3 follies (22mm, 21mm, 19mm), prog 52.4, BFN
February 2009: forced TAB for cysts, scheduled HSG and S/A ~ Feb 16: Saw RE, not impressed, sticking with my GYN (who does IF!!)
~S/A results good
*Amount: 2 m/L
*Total Count: 37 million/mL
*Viscosity: decreased
*Motility: 80%, grade 4
*Morphology: 2% abnormal
March 2009: HSG done, suspected hydrosalpinx so MRI to confirm or deny, MRI shows all clear!!!!
April 2009:
~150mg Clomid CD5-9 with hCG trigger, a few small follies (18mm, 16mm, 16mm, 14mm, 14mm), BFN
~BCP 4 pills per day for 10 days due to large cysts (30mm and 20mm)
May 2009: starting IUI process, 150iu Bravelle and 100mg Clomid, double IUIs
~May 10: start Bravelle on Mother's Day
~May 14: follicle check, dose upped to 225iu daily
~May 17: follie check, 10 follies 10-14mm, stay @ 225iu
~May 19: follie check, 9 follies 17-21mm
~May 20: hCG trigger
~May 21 and 22: IUIs, 40 million sperm post-wash
June 2009:
~June 2: BFP on home tests!!, beta 19
~June 4: beta qual positive, as well as HPTs!
~June 9: First OB appt!!! No sac seen on u/s, but beta is 293!
~June 17: 2nd OB/ultrasound appt, see sac, beta 1975
July 2009:
~July 1: OB appt, u/s showed baby with hb!! 154 bpm at 7w3d, EDD 2/14/10, Valentine's Day :)
~July 17: Check-up, u/s showed baby still at 7w3d and no hb, missed m/c
~July 18: Worst day of our lives, D&C done and testing will be done to determine cause
August 7, 2009: Chromosome tests show our baby was a little girl with Turner syndrome, shouldn't happen again, wait for next cycle to start TTC again...
September 2009:
~Sept 18: CD1, Clomid 100mg with trigger this cycle
~Sept 22: U/S shows no cysts and around 20 follies ready to grow
~Sept 29: Follie check shows 6 follies, 3 of which will O
~Sept 30: Trigger shot given at 8:05am
October 2009:
~Oct 6: BFN
~Oct 11: CD1, start 150iu Bravelle and 100mg Clomid on CD3 with IUIx2
~Oct 23: Follie check #1, 8 follies sized 6.37mm-9.49mm
~Oct 26: Follie Check #2, 7 to 8 follies sized 12mm-17mm
~Oct 28: Follie Check #3, 10 follies sized 15.5mm-20.7mm, trigger at 9pm
~Oct 29 & 30: IUI #1 and #2
November 2009:
~Nov 8 & 9: BFPs x6!! Beta 18
~Nov 25: baby has a hb! 120bpm at 6w4d
December 2009:
~Dec 11: we passed "that point"! 8w1d and we still have a hb!!
January 2010:
~Jan 14: NT scan and first trimester screening
~Jan 20: NT/1st tri testing all good! 1:5200 for Down's and 1:10,000 for Trisomy 18
February 2010:
~Feb 5: Quad screen, negative for everything
~Feb 17: Feel baby kick!!
~Feb 25: anatomy scan all normal, ITS A GIRL!!! Weight 10oz, length 7in
July 2010:
~July 14: induction started at 4:15pm at 38w6d
~July 15: water breaks at 12:30am, Hannah Faith is born at 6:25am after 14 1/2 hrs of labor! 6lbs 1oz, 19 inches long

Needles and Syringes and Vials, OH MY!!

THE DEFINITION OF IRONY: Starting infertility shots on Mother's Day. Hope that's a sign.

Got all my meds today. The box was pretty big. Went through it all and realized I have no clue what I am doing. The nurse at the dr's office said to bring in everything on CD3 and they'd help me with the first one. Now CD3 is on Sunday so they're closed. I called and asked what I'm supposed to do since I haven't done this before and they said to watch the video on the manufacturer's website and go ahead and do it Sunday. If I have any problems I can go in Monday to get some help. I am not really sure when I am supposed to take it, if it matters. I don't know if it has to be the same time every day either. I was thinking of doing it Sunday morning before church but mornings aren't good for every other day. IDK. Anyone know? I printed off instructions and I am watching videos all afternoon. Hopefully it'll be a piece of cake. I guess I'll see soon enough!

Oh by the way, does anyone know a nurse or somewhere I can go to get help with this on Sunday? I don't want to screw this up!

Yay! I always had to do in the morning, but I only had one injection per month. They gave me a specific time to give myself the shot. Good luck!!! : )

From my experience you should take the shots around the same time every day. I took them at night, after dinner..that was the easiest for me! You can always go to a hospital..they will help you with taking shots.

The videos should be pretty clear on how to do the shots. Otherwise there are videos on youtube that can help too. They are easier than they look, I promise!

I also took my shots in the evening. It was easier for my schedule.
